In short
There is a 14-day free trial and no card is needed to start it, so you should never be paying for something you have not already tried. If you do pay and it was a mistake, tell us within 14 days and we will refund it in full. Cancel any time; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
1. Try before you pay
Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial and requires no card to begin. Nothing is charged during the trial, and if you do nothing at the end of it, you are not charged at all — the account simply becomes read-only until you choose a plan.
We would rather you used the trial than paid for a month to find out. If you need longer to decide, ask us.
2. Cancelling
Cancel any time from the billing page in the app. There is no cancellation fee, no notice period, and nobody to talk to first.
You keep full access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling on day 3 of a month you have paid for does not cut you off on day 3. After that date the account becomes read-only rather than closed: your data stays, you can still read and export it, and you can subscribe again later and pick up where you left off.
Cancelling does not delete your account. Deleting your account is a separate, permanent action described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Refunds
Within 14 days of a payment
If you are charged and decide CrewSpur is not for you, email us within 14 days of that payment and we will refund it in full. You do not need to justify it. This applies to your first payment on a plan, and to an annual renewal you did not intend.
After that
Subscriptions are charged for the period ahead, and we do not automatically refund unused time part-way through a period — you keep access for what you paid for instead. That said, if something has gone wrong, tell us. In particular we will refund when:
- a fault on our side made the service unusable for a meaningful stretch;
- you were charged twice, or charged after cancelling;
- a renewal caught you out and you have not used the service since it renewed;
- we ended your account without cause — then we refund the unused portion automatically.
We would rather refund someone who is unhappy than keep money from someone who feels trapped.
4. Changing plan mid-period
Changing plan is not a refund event, and no money is ever taken twice:
- Moving up a tier, or monthly to yearly — takes effect immediately and you are charged only the prorated difference for the remainder of the period.
- Moving down a tier, or yearly to monthly — takes effect immediately and nothing is charged. The unused portion of what you already paid becomes credit against your next invoice.
So switching from an annual plan to a monthly one does not forfeit the rest of your year — it becomes credit.
5. How to request a refund
Email hello@crewspur.com from the address on the account. Tell us roughly when you were charged; you do not need to find an invoice number.
We aim to reply within 5 business days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method — how quickly it appears is up to your bank, usually 5–10 business days.
6. Who actually issues the refund
Payments are processed by Paddle, who act as the merchant of record — so Paddle is the seller for the transaction and issues the refund. Your card statement shows Paddle rather than CrewSpur.
You can contact us or Paddle. Contacting us is usually faster, because we can confirm what happened in your account before anything is processed.
7. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy removes rights you have by law. If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you may have a statutory right to cancel a distance contract within 14 days. Because we give you the service immediately on subscribing, that right can be affected once you start using it — but our own 14-day policy above is at least as generous, so in practice you can simply use that.
8. Before you chargeback
If something looks wrong on your statement, please email us first. A chargeback takes weeks and typically locks the account while it is investigated; we can usually refund the same day. We have never refused a reasonable refund request, and we are not going to start.
